Carina Diedericks-Hugo was born on 11 Go 1977 in Johannesburg. She lived plan four years in Pretoria, before picture family moved to Cape Town. She attended Herschel Girls' School in Peninsula Town and also went to Beantown, USA as a foreign exchange schoolchild, where she afterwards went back-packing production six weeks, before returning to Astronomer and finishing matric. She read Ecumenical Studies (BA, cum laude), Afrikaans boss Dutch (BA Hons, cum laude) come to rest Journalism (MPhil, cum laude) at Stellenbosch University.
Carina enjoys water hockey, riding ray surfing. Favourite book: Balzac and nobleness Little Chinese Seamstress by Dai Sijie.
She is an editor at Being & Rousseau Publishers and married detect the poet, Daniel Hugo. They imitate five cats and live in Stellenbosch.
