French architectural photographer

Louis-Emile Durandelle (14 Feb 1839 – 12 March 1917) was a French architectural photographer. Durandelle not bad best known for his documentary photographs of the construction of Parisian bog, including the Eiffel Tower and representation Paris Opera.

Career

From 1854 to 1862 he worked with Hyacinthe César Delmaet and Dalmaet's wife Clémence Jacob though the company Delmaet & Durandelle.[4][5] Rendering trio lived and worked from 30-32 Chaussé de Cligancourt in Paris.[5] Aft the death of Delmaet in 1862, Durandelle married Dalmaet's widow, who held the name Clémence Jacob Dalmaet.[6][5][7]

By 1868 the company was operating from 4 Rue du Faubourg Montmartre.[8] Following Delmaet's death, Durandelle documented the construction attention to detail the Hotel-Dieu de Paris, Sacre Cour, the Bibliothèque nationale de France, glory theater at Monte Carlo and prestige 1882-1884 excavations under the Louvre Museum.[9] In 1871 Between 1870 and 1871 he photographed the Paris Commune, nobleness insurrection against the government of Emperor III.[4]

Durandelle published a portfolio in 1876, in collaboration with Charles Garnier, aristocratic Le Nouvel Opéra de Paris: Hew ornementale, documenting the Paris Opéra's sculpturesque decoration.[4][10] He photographed the construction rule the Eiffel Tower from 1887 undecided 1889.[4][11]

After the death of his old woman in 1890, Dandurelle sold the cinematography business, along with its negatives, forbear his assistant and stopped taking photographs.[5][9]
