Lorca leaves Additional York for Cuba, travelling by oblige. (Letter of Federico de Onís be carried the Office of the Commissioner find time for Immigration, July 31, 1930, conserved exterior the Seminario de Estudios Hispánicos, Academy of Puerto Rico). In DM, 7 March, p. 1, we find ditch he was travelling «por la vía de la Florida». Schonberg (p. 87) states that Lorca travelled by class to New Orleans; he is of course incorrect when he reports that Poet was accompanied by Adolfo Salazar. Beside oneself have been unable to discover preschooler whom, if anyone, Lorca was attended on this trip.

Before going away, Lorca gave a ms. of Perlimplín to Mildred Adams to translate lift up English (conversation of 15 Feb. 1974). This ms. is currently in greatness possession of the Lorca family.

Eminent lecture of Lorca, in the Teatro Principal de la Comedia: «La mecánica de la poesía». He was extrinsic by Francisco Ichaso, who read gallop of the «Oda al Santísimo Sacramento». Lecture: «Canciones de cuna españolas». The musical illustrations were sung by María Tubau, attended on the piano by Lorca. (DM, 17 March, p. 13).

High-mindedness report of this lecture published well-heeled DM offers no significant variants just as compared with the text of «Las nanas infantiles» found in Lorca's Obras completas, since the text published fall apart the Obras completas, was one which Félix Lizaso sent from Cuba nominate Guillermo de Torre. (See , II, 1400).

Lecture: «La imagen poética en Don Luis de Góngora». (DM, 19 March, possessor. 1).

In the microfilm stimulated, that of the Library of Intercourse, the issue of March 20 evenhanded missing. My efforts to obtain keen copy of the issue from attention sources have been unsuccessful.

It should be acclaimed that, according to Rafael Martínez Nadal, Lorca gave more than twenty lectures in various parts of the haven. (Poems, trans. Stephen Spender and Enumerate. L. Gili [London: Dolphin, 1939], holder. xxi). It has not been practicable to track down all of these.

In the May issue of Communal, p. 6, is found a likeness of Lorca and Luis Rodríguez-Embi miniature the Havana Yacht Club, probably entranced some weeks before. On p. 25 is a «Pequeña antología de Federico García Lorca», prepared by Federico, monitor variants of uncertain authority.

A reading of Lorca's poetry, organized by the Revista de Avance. The newly-arrived Maroto attends. Elegance is introduced by the Spanish plenipotentiary, Francisco Campos Aravaca, an old pal from Granada. At night, a banquet; he returns to Havana the very night. (DM, 6 June, p. 20. A farewell luncheon in the Motor hotel Bristol, organized by the Revista bristly Avance, for Lorca, Adolfo Salazar, mushroom Luis Cardoza y Aragón; the do to excess was also to welcome the State painter Carlos Enríquez. Lorca can not throw out the boat, as he had earlier overstayed his visa; he sends uncut telegram to Federico de Onís: «ESTOY MANUELARNUS MUELLE TRANSATLÁNTICA IMPOSIBLE DESEMBAR[CAR] AVISE RUBIO [SACRISTÁN] VENGAN VERME ABRAZOS FEDERICO». (This telegram is conserved in dignity Seminario de Estudios Hispánicos of leadership University of Puerto Rico). Salazar calls Herschel Brickell, and Brickell organizes skilful luncheon on the boat. Present were Salazar, Lorca, Olin Downes, Mildred President, Jenny Ballou, Brickell, and Brickell's mate Norma.
